The whole region is full of lakes and rivers...
...although it has a desert zone: the steppe

The Thunderer Mountain: an inactive volcano with an altitude of 3500 meters...
...8 glaciers...
...and uncountable waterfalls that are blown out by the strong wind
Devil's throat waterfall: 335 meters
(I went to the top of the hill at the left with my brother, which has an overwhelming view,
but we didn't take shots from there because of the intense 'rain' of the waterfall)
The name of the mountain comes from the fact that huge ice blocks called
'seracs' quite frequently fall from the glaciers, making very loud thunder-like sounds.
We heard one of those 'thunders', and when we turned back we were able to capture the end of a fall.
Compare these two pictures of the same region, and notice that the 'waterfall' in the center of the right image is not a waterfall:
A law on The Thunderer: the snow that looks safe...
...it's not
One of the stars of The Thunderer is The Black Glacier, at its base.
It is formed by 'seracs' that fall from the Manso Glacier, dragging debris
